Getting Started with Workflow Notifications

Workflow notifications Informs people to run business processes or integrations, complete forms, or respond to events in business processes. Example: Approve a time-off request. can be used by most applications in the suite. A workflow notification is delivered to appropriate recipients by any of the following methods:

  • Email — The recipient receives an email message about the notification. This message can also contain a link to a page in the product. This is called one-click navigation
  • Control Center — The recipient receive the notification in Control Center.

Each workflow notification is triggered by a specific event. For example, you can configure the system to notify employees of the pending start or end of an employee visibility period Defines both the period when employees can submit requests (submission period) and the period when those request can be applied (request period).. How to configure workflow notifications

Although the mechanism for triggering workflow notifications alerts varies with each application, the starting point is to create a workflow notification.

To create a workflow notification, log on as an administrator and select Administration > Application Setup > Event/Notification > Workflow Notifications. Then, click New and select a notification type from the following options:
