Symbolic Purposes

The Symbolic Purpose (formerly Reviewer Purpose) page defines one or more purposes to associate with different Reviewer Lists.

  1. From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Symbolic Purpose (Formerly Reviewer Purpose).
  2. Enter a Name and Description for the symbolic purpose in the first row.
  3. In Type, select the purpose type:
  4. Click to insert a row to add additional symbolic purposes.
  5. Clear the Active option to inactivate a symbolic purpose.
  6. To remove a symbolic purpose, click to delete the row. If you remove the purpose, you cannot retrieve it. If you want to keep the purpose, change its status to inactive.
  7. Click Save.
Note:
  • Use the Filter drop-down list to view the active and inactive purposes.
  • Use Search to find a specific purpose. Enter one or more characters to further define you search criteria.
  • You can edit the name the name and description of a symbolic purpose, and whether it has an active or inactive status.
