Configure Attestation

Attestation is the act of confirming or attesting that something is true. For example, when punching out, users may need to confirm—or attest—that they took their meal breaks.

To set up attestation for use in time stamp, quick time stamp, and data collection devices, complete the following steps:

  1. Create or edit a model — Provides a link to the Workflow Designer so you can create a workflow. Several attestation workflow templates (called forms or models) are available for you to customize.
  2. Note: Earlier versions of the Simple Question Form and Complex Meal Form templates are also available on the Business Processes Setup page (Main Menu > Administration > Application Setup > Business Process Setup > Process Models). For more information, see Use the preconfigured templates.
  3. Define the workflow properties — Define the workflow's display name, template category, effective dates, status, and actions list.
  4. Define conditions — Define the timing and value to trigger a workflow.
  5. Assign buttons — Configure the buttons that will appear on the time stamp or data collection device.
  6. Create an assignment — Define a button, condition, and workflow combination.
  7. Create an Attestation Profile — Group employee-specific assignments as a profile.

You then assign the Attestation Profile to employees in People Information.
