Attestation Answers

Attestation The act of confirming or attesting that something is true. For example, when punching out, users may need to attest that they took their meal breaks. answers are building blocks used to configure Attestation workflows. You can create Attestation questions independently and later associate them with an Attestation question, or you can create them as part of the Attestation question creation process.

Attestation answers consist of answers to Attestation questions displayed to the user, and optional actions associated with those answers. You can associate these actions with Attestation answers:

• Add Comment
• Add Paycode A category of time or money that employees earn, for example, Regular Hours, Bonus, or Sick.
• Cancel punch The entries on a timecard that mark the beginning (in-punch) or end (out-punch) of a work interval, such as the beginning of a shift or transfer.
• Cancel Deductions (all or specific)
• Send Workflow Notification Informs people to run business processes or integrations, complete forms, or respond to events in business processes. Example: Approve a time-off request.

For example, you might configure a question like this:

• Question: Did you take your meal break today?
• Answers: Yes or No.
• If the employee answers No, the action associated with that answer could initiate a workflow notification to the employee's manager or apply a paycode edit to apply a bonus.
