Assign zone and shift sets to locations

Explicitly assign a zone set Contains non-overlapping schedule zones that together comprise a full day based on hours of operation for a location. or shift set Contains a collection of shifts used to define workload (staffing) requirements for locations. Example: An organization has shifts that the majority of employees work: 7 AM-3 PM and 3 PM-11 PM. to locations.

A location without an explicit assignment uses the set from the next parent location.

Example: Assign a zone set to City. All locations in City use that zone set unless explicitly assigned another zone set.

  1. From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Scheduler Setup > Workload Setup.
  2. Select the Schedule Zone Sets tab or the Workload Shift Sets A collection of shift types that together comprehensively define workload (staffing) requirements for locations. tab.
  3. Select the shift set.
  4. Click Assign to Location.
  5. Select the locations.
