Business Processes setup page

Note:

To access the Business Process setup page, your Function Access Profile must have the Business Processes function access control point set to "Allowed." To do this:

  1. Select Administration > Application Setup from the Main Menu
  2. Select Access Profiles > Function Access Profiles.
  3. Expand Manager-Common Setup, select Business Processes An organized flow of activities or tasks that achieves a business goal. An automated business process minimizes the amount of paperwork and manual tasks to complete that process by way of automatic actions, online forms, and automatically generated messages., and set it to "Allowed."
  4. Click Save & Return.

A Business Process is an executable version of a Process Model and is created when a Process Model is deployed from the Process Models setup page. The Business Processes page lists these deployed Business Processes. From this page, you can edit the Business Process properties such as start and end dates, display name, and where the Business Process can be accessed. You can also delete or refresh Business Processes or access the Process Models setup page.

  1. From the Main Menu , select Administration > Application Setup > Business Process Setup > Business Processes
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click Configure to create, edit, or deploy a Business Model.
    • Select a Business Process and click Edit to change the Business Process properties.
    • Select a Business Process and click Delete, then click OK to confirm. You cannot delete a model that is deployed.
  3. (Optional) Enter or change the Description
  4. Enter or change the unique Display Name.
  5. Select one or more Template Categories.

    How to select multiple items:

    • To select more than one item, press Ctrl while you click tap the items.
    • To select more than one neighboring item, press Shift while you click tap the items.
  6. In Start Effective, select the effective start date.
  7. In End Effective, select an end date or Forever to make the Business Process available indefinitely.
  8. In Status, select Active.
  9. In Action List, select whether to Show or Hide the Business Process.
  10. In Tile A container that provides navigation or action from its summary view. List, select Show to display My Business Process as a tile on the user's home page The page that is presented to the user upon login, which contains the tiles that let the user access or navigate to common tasks. or Hide to hide My Business Process from it.
  11. In GoTo List, select Show to enable Business Processes to be linked from the GoTo control or Hide to hide Business Processes from it.
  12. Click Save, then click Return.

The Business Process page lists the deployed processes. Click Refresh.
