Getting Started with Control Center
Control center enables you to view system messages, tasks and notifications as well as take appropriate action on those tasks.

Notification categories
Notifications in Control Center are organized into the following categories:
- Attendance — Messages related to attendance such as perfect attendance notifications, attendance infraction notification.
- Devices — Alerts on Device status.
- Exceptions — Any exceptions from the timecard such as missed punches, unexcused absence, and long breaks.
- Leave of Absence — Notifications generated by Leave of Absence cases.
- Leave of Absence Requests — Requests generated by the Leave of Absence product.
- My Requests — Your own requests and responses to those requests. You can view all Employee Self Service requests from this category, including:
- Time Off Requests — Request from employees for time off.
- Open Shift Requests — Request from employees to fill an open shift.
- Self Schedule — Request related to shifts employees scheduled themselves.
- Shift Swap — Request from employee to swap a scheduled shift with a shift that is scheduled for another employee.
- Availability Change — Request from employee to change their availability in their schedule.
- Notices — Provides informational messages or announcements from managers to employees. Some notices have an action you can take (either to select OK or Yes/No). You can take action in the Details panel when you select the notification.
- People Operations — Notifications about employee documents and HR requests.
- System Messages — System messages are informational messages from one of these categories:
- Integration/interface errors — issues with inbound or outbound data (as with payroll or scheduling imports, for example)
- Job/process failures — for scheduled jobs like accrual calculations and report generation, or for synchronization tasks that fail or encounter errors
- Connection/service interruptions — connectivity issues with third-party applications, databases, or services
- License or version notifications — reminders about system updates, patches, or license renewals
Examples include:
- Open Request period for submitting scheduling and time-off requests
- Invalid time-off requests
- Tasks — Any tasks assigned to you by custom business processes.
- Timekeeping Requests — Requests generated by timekeeping.
- HCM Notifications — Notifications imported form the HCM application.
- HCM Todos — To dos imported form the HCM application.
Depending on the notification category, notifications will expire after differing amounts of time:

How to
My Requests
View Request
Select My Requests.
- To view requests with different statuses, select the status filter and then select one or more Status types.
- To change the timeframe,
Select Timeframe
Complete one of the following:
- Select a timeframe from the list.
- Select Range and enter or select a range of dates from the calendar then select Apply.
Mark a request reviewed
Select a request and then select Mark Done .
Cancel a request
- Select My Requests and then select one or more requests.
- Select Cancel.

(Optional)Add a Comment.
- Select Add Comment and then select a comment from the drop-down.
- (Optional) Enter a note.
- (Optional)Select Add Another Note and enter a note.
- Select Add.
- Select Cancel Request.
Employee Request
Tasks
Run a Business Process
- Click Tap My actions . Select Business Processes.
- Complete the required options as requested in the business process forms.
- Submit the forms.
Respond to a Business Process
- Click Tap Review .
- Click Tap Delete . Click Tap Yes to confirm.
- In Control Center, click tap My actions . Select Business Processes. Complete the required options as requested in the business process forms. Submit the forms.
Indicators
Depending on the notification category you have selected, and whether you are a manager or an employee, a different set of relevant action icons are available.
Common icons
Show Detail— Select to show the Detail panel.
Hide Detail— Select to hide the Detail panel.
Select All— Select all visible notifications.
Refine— Select to refine the notifications. See Refine Notifications.
My Actions— Select to perform business processes.
Go To— Select to navigate to a different product area with the selected data.
Select Status— Select to filter notifications by their status.
Select Timeframe— Select to filter the notifications by the timeframe.
Select Hyperfind— Select to filter the notifications by location or hyperfind.
Reset— Return to the default filter.
Attendance
Approve— Approve a time off request.
Mark Done—Mark a notification as done.
Delete— Delete a notification.
Employee requests
Approve— Approve an employee request.
Refuse— Refuse an employee request.
Add Comments— Add comments or notes to the request.
Pending— Mark an employee request pending.
Edit— Edit an employee request. Add, delete or edit the
Cancel— Cancel an employee request.
Delete— Delete an employee request.
HCM Notifications
Mark Done— Mark a notification as done.
Delete— Delete a notification.
HCM Todos
Mark Done— Mark a notification as done.
Delete— Delete a notification.
Leave of Absence
Mark Done—Mark a notification as done.
Delete— Delete a notification.
Leave of Absence Requests
Approve— Approve a leave request.
Refuse— Refuse a leave of absence request.
Pending— Mark a request pending.
